This Privacy Policy describes how the Athan Easy mobile application (“Athan Easy”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you install and use the app on your iPhone or other Apple devices. This policy is written with App Store requirements for iOS users in mind.
Athan Easy provides prayer times, local notifications, and a Qibla compass. The app is designed to minimize data collection: most data is stored locally on your device. The app does not collect or transmit your device's precise GPS coordinates to our servers. You can enter a location manually, or the app can use local device features to calculate prayer times without transmitting your exact coordinates.
To calculate accurate prayer times and to show the Qibla direction, Athan Easy may request access to your device’s location. Location usage is optional — you may also enter a location manually, and the app will use that saved location instead of the device GPS. We do not collect or transmit your device’s precise GPS coordinates to our servers; any location information used with third-party services is provided only with your explicit consent and handled in a non-identifying way.

Athan sounds bundled with the app (in the app bundle) are used locally for scheduled notifications and previews. Sound files are not uploaded or shared by the app.

We do not use analytics or crash reporting services in the base app, unless you explicitly enable them in a future update. If such services are added later they will be described in an updated privacy policy.
Cached prayer calendars and settings are kept locally on your device. Cached yearly prayer times may be refreshed periodically; older cache files are cleared by the app to conserve space.
Athan Easy schedules local notifications on your device for prayer times and optional reminders X minutes before a prayer. Notifications are handled locally; we do not transmit notification content or schedules to remote servers. Notification sounds are selected from bundled assets.
You can disable notifications for individual prayers from the app settings or revoke notification permissions in iOS Settings.
The app includes an iOS Home Screen widget and Live Activity extension that use a shared app group to read current prayer times and display them on the widget. Data shared with the widget is limited to the minimal information required to display prayer times and the next prayer.
We take reasonable measures to protect data stored on your device. Since most data is stored locally, it is subject to the device’s protection mechanisms. The app does not collect, transmit, or store your device's precise GPS coordinates on our servers. Most user data remains on your device and is protected by the device's security features.
The app is not intended for use by children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information to us, please contact us and we will take steps to delete such information.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date at top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes indicates acceptance of the updated policy.
